Wisdom from the road and more
This past week I was in 4 great cities up and down the US east coast: coaching, training and activating amazing people to truly step into their Bigger Game of life.
I love that “Playing a Bigger Game” ended up having so many meanings – it’s different for each of us, and that’s exactly the point.
In each city I visited, regardless of how someone defined what playing a Bigger Game meant to them, I was struck with one common theme that kept getting expressed:
Everyone talked about wanting more out of his or her life.
The “more” I’m referring to is not more money or more stuff, but rather more of a life that is truly magnificent in every aspect. A life that is more about purpose, and less about the material things we’ve accumulated. A life filled with more honesty and intimacy, more friendships and community. And dare I say, more love.
One of my favorite songs is “Seasons of Love” from the musical Rent. That profound lyric “525,600 minutes, how do you measure a year?” says it all for me. How do we truly want to live our lives? What will we express?
On this Easter Sunday, I am reminded that it is my birthright to create, express and do the things I love the most with my life.
We’ve only got 525,600 minutes per year and I plan to make the most of it. What about you?
Sending you ease, joy, peace and calm on this special Sunday.
Blessings,
Rick
